Advice On What To Do After School - College/Uni/6th Form, More In The Question ?
November 23rd, 2009 Posted by: admin
Hiya, My friend is leaving school this May, she has no idea what she wants to be, up until a few months ago she wanted to be a secondary school teacher, she has decided she doesn’t want to do that now. I’ve tried helping her make the right decisions ( Her mum + dad aren’t interested in her education and think she should just work as a waitress ALL her life )
I’ve suggested some jobs she could do such as hairdressing, but she isn’t interested in that either. She is interested in nails and make-up but she doesn’t think she is pretty enough for the job. What else can I suggest to her to do ?
Should she go college after school ? What career should she look into ?
I’ve known her all my life and I really don’t want to see my friend working in a dead end job all her life.
Thanks in advance for any ideas, and I will also choose a best answer.
If you need to know anymore details just say in your answer and I will update! Thanks.

What do I need to major in to be an ob-gyn?
November 19th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m a sophomore in high school (or at least I will be this fall), and I want to be an ob-gyn when I get older. The only problem is I have no idea what to major in, and minor in to accomplish this. I want to go to a university, and I certainly have the grades to do so, but I see no classes that look like you’d take them to be an ob-gyn. I searched on collegeboard.com to see if it would be any help, but it gave me nothing–literally. Any help would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

How should I format my art portfolio for the Common Application Arts Supplement?
October 17th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m using the Common App to apply to Washington University in St. Louis, and I was just wondering how other people are formatting their portfolios. I’m burning it onto CD-Should I put it in a powerpoint with all the information on each slide? Or should I just burn a folder with the images? Perhaps both? Thanks in advance!

Florida University Decision?! Help?
August 16th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Hi, I have been accepted to UM and UCF, and I’m currently waiting on the UF decision. I live in Fort Lauderdale and I know the atmosphere of South Florida and I love it, but I don’t know which school to attend? I love the UCF campus and I love Miami. I’m not crazy about Gainsville, but it’s okay. I am still undecided in what I want to major in and I want to know which schools would be better for me. My top two choices are UM and UCF, but I also have UF in mind. Help me!! thanks in advance =)

What colleges/universities should I be looking at as a mathematics major?
July 7th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am transferring from a 2 year community college in 2008. I am planning on majoring in mathematics. I live in southern New York, and would like to stay within a 4 hour radius (as far up as Massachusetts, as far south as D.C., west towards Pennsylvania).
6 CommentsCurrently I have looked at Lehigh, Albany, Union, Binghamton, and Cornell. I like them in that order. (Loved Lehigh, Hated Cornell).
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I should look and visit?
Thanks in advance.

Does a university have to accept my 2-year degree as prerequisite of my major?
June 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am currently working on my 2-year degree. I plan to major in English. When I transfer to a 4-year university to complete my BA, is the university required to accept the classes I completed with an Associate’s as prerequisites to their courses? I don’t know if this matters, but I live in the state of Texas. Thanks in advance.
I have met with an advisor. My concern is that some requirement might change before I am ready to transfer.
